Light My Fire's fire starter is the original magnesium-based fire starter. It was originally developed for the Swedish Armed Forces and became the first truly effective solution for lighting fires at high altitudes and low temperatures. Since the fire starter effectively ignites both gas and flammable liquid, it is also ideal for traditional spirit stoves as well as modern gas stoves. This has led to its use by military units worldwide today. Over time, Light My Fire's fire starter has been further developed and refined, including a highly accurate stainless steel striker, an ergonomic handle, and a built-in whistle for emergencies.
