The AVABAG LiTRIC Freeride 28 is an advanced avalanche backpack specifically developed for freeriding and ski touring. The backpack combines low weight, high safety, and great flexibility thanks to the electronic LiTRIC airbag system. Its construction makes it equally useful for quick powder runs near ski lifts and for longer freeride tours in more remote areas.

The backpack is based on a modular system where the base – with back panel and airbag system – can be combined with various AVABAG LiTRIC Freeride and Tour zip-on units in different sizes. This allows the same base to be used for multiple types of tours and packing volumes.

The LiTRIC system is an electronic airbag system that uses supercapacitors instead of gas cartridges. The system charges via USB-C in approximately 25 minutes and can be activated at least twice per charge. Since no cartridge is used, there is no need for weighing, cartridge replacement, or travel restrictions. The system operates in temperatures from −30 °C to +45 °C and has an operating time of approximately 60 hours when activated.

The back panel uses the CLASP Back System with soft back pads, a wide and flexible hip belt, and comfortable shoulder straps that provide a close-to-body fit and excellent freedom of movement while riding. The system is also compatible with the CLASP Spine Protector (sold separately).
