Light, compact and efficient: Our new BEAST weighs only 580 grams and is a cleverly designed avalanche shovel suitable for both beginners and more demanding users. With a working length of 83 cm and a scoop volume of 2.3 liters, the BEAST is perfectly sized for efficient digging after an avalanche.

The combination of high-quality materials, high sidewalls, and a pronounced center ridge provides the necessary tensile strength and stability. A sharp and robust blade guarantees optimal performance. Thanks to the pack-friendly shovel blade with non-slip step grooves and the telescopic, quick-release shaft, the BEAST can be easily stowed in any ORTOVOX touring backpack in no time.
